The Ramones released their first album 50 years ago. I had it on audio cassette and it was brilliant motorway music.

The Ramones were the first band I saw at the Brixton Academy. Being young and foolish, I got there early and set up camp right against the barrier in front of the stage. The bruise from this was still apparent a week or so later. Good gig though. Gabba Gabba Hey!
