We used to drink Oxo as a drink as kids.

How much further do you think you can push Bovril's use by date? We have a 1998 vintage jar. It's been opened but no sign of deterioration. I reckon if there was ever a nuclear war there would only be cockroaches, Bovril and Babybell cheeses left on the planet.

Now I've never had Oxo as a drink, maybe a regional thing. I know both are low in calories and have a high salt salt content but Bovril has the addition of vitamin b being a yeast extract.
I also have a vague childhood memory of either Oxo or Bovril flavour crisps?

Yeah I remember Bovril crisps. I prefer marmite myself. On toast, not as a drink.

I haven't tried Marmite for donkey's years, hated it then but I may like it now, tastes change. However not on toast as bread is just one of the foods I can't manage to swallow yet.

Marmite toast is dipped in strong hot tea for extra added nomnomnomnom.

As aa complete change of subject, I feel moved towards warning people against Hard Seltzer. I'd been reading about it for a while and thought, mm, might be delicious. Saw a cherry flavour in Sainsburys and thought double win. I love al things cherry flavoured. However, urgh to the power of three. It is insipid an revoltingly artificial tasting in equal measures. I urge you all, do not attempt this stuff.

I only ever drank Bovril at football matches.
There have some concoction here called Vegemite.
It's a sort of Marmite but for MEN.
I can manage without either.
