Todays Christmas cooking

Post by Foxie's Mum » Sun Dec 09, 2018 2:46 am

Pork sausage rolls (I make my own sausage meat) Chestnut stuffing (Phloppsy prefers it to the turkey!) and mince pies . All now in the freezer . Next I need to make a Black Forest Yule Log for our Lynne that does the dogs hair . We gave her pasries last year and she liked them , lets hope she likes this too

I bought sausage meat from my local butcher on Friday. My mince meat has been maturing nearly seven weeks and I'll have to tidy my freezer so there's some room for the mince pies and sausage rolls.
The cake was fed for the last time earlier in the week and I'll probably make the marzipan next weekend.

I polished it up and I started to play it

I'm not having to do much, while we're having Christmas here - it was supposed to be at my son's but they have a chaotic house with Misty dog - but A has done the ordering, has her mincemeat maturing, is making the stuffing.
Looks like we'll all be doing last minute essentials - peeling etc- on Christmas eve.

Ooh, they look fab, Mis.

The only Christmas cooking happening here just now are some sausages.
