He is obviously miles better than Vernon, and most of the Radio Two DJs.
What does he have to do to get a daytime slot?
He should pretend to be a trans woman.

He hadn’t been on the radio for aeons till there was an anniversary on BBC Radio for summat and he was on talking to Simon Mayo. He’s got a thriving business doing something, I’m not that sure he’d want a daily show.
