Not the "Nicest Man in Rock" anymore!

Post by Julian Mince » Tue Sep 10, 2024 8:52 pm

I know a man who taught his dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground.
He went from Barking to Tooting in an hour.

Gosh! I am surprised...
Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

Am I the only person who has never heard of this man? I'm aware of the Foo Fighters pop combo of course but don't think I have heard any of their works.

You must know him.
He looks a bit like the drummer from Nirvana.

Nirvana were a popular pop music combo in the recent past.

Does he only have one arm? That one? The only drummer I could identify is the fourth worsetest drummer in the Beatles.

No, the one armed one is Rick from Def Leppard.

What does he use when he wants to do a drum roll? Maybe best not answer that one.

He has a very clever arrangement of pedals which he uses to trigger electronic drums.

Let's not put the onus on Big Dave. I bet the woman told him she was on the pill and now has carte blanche to deprive him of his millions in maintenance payments.

Yes.
I doubt that this is his first encounter with a groupie, being one of the coolest guys in music (apparently).

I do tend to agree with that when I hear stories like this. However, maybe he should have thought about that possibility himself

Of course, there was an alternative which would have stopped him from causing all the upset in the first place.

Yes, he could have stayed at home with a nice cup of tea.

I think it might have been George Melly* who said something along the lines of being grateful of getting old and not having the mad monkey** of libido on his back all the time

*It could have been another 50/60s jazz musician
** It might have been another animal
