I know which I'd like to watch, but no doubt I'll be forced to watch Vera or some other detective shite instead.

I like Vera. I would watch Fawlty Towers reruns for the 154th time rather than Eurovision.

But to be honest now we can actually sit inside a building that serves booze I'll be doing that. With ourlass obviously.

One Vera was enough for me. Can't stand that whining voice.
And why do the locations all have to be so bleak?


We'd normally be out on Eurovision night - always meet up with bunch of friends, to miss the ritual humiliation of Royaume Uni. Covid has put the kibosh on that.

Cast you mind back dear reader to a warm day in May 1997 when New Labour under Tony Blair sweeps to victory and in the same month Blair's New Britain sweeps all before it at Eurovision. Fast forward to 2021 where during a cold, wet May evening Boris' Brexit Britain gets nul point. Coincidence? I don't think so.
