Joe bloody Whiley spoilt it for me, I only listen to them on a Friday now, rather than every day. I like Simon Mayo.

It was on the cards, wasn't it?

I've not listened since she started. It's a shame they messed with a good show. I bet it'll be Fearne Cotton.

As long as it's a woman.
That's all that matters.

I think it’ll be Sara Cox.

They should have put Sara on in the morning and found somebody else for drivetime.
They just seem to be cocking it all up.
No matter what people thought of Chris Evans and Simon Mayo, they were popular with the listeners

What a bloomin mess. The old 7 -8pm shows are all being moved back another hour to 9 - 10pm as well. Jo Whiley should have been put back to her old timing and the specialist shows given their old slots back.
They should call the whole station 'BBC Women' as that is what it will become

Thought it was ok. Whiley is ok on it.
Mayo said he is off to do other stuff, I presume mire film stuff as it seems his passion.

One of his books is being made into a TV series and another a film I think.

They will never admit they cocked it all up, but that is what the Beeb did, all for ticking the gender quota box.
The proverb "If it ain't broke don't fix it" doesn't exist for nothin - It speaks volumes that Jo Whiley is to go back to do an evening show.
Ironically, the most likely candidates for the Drivetime slot are female, because there is a now a dearth of available males, Allinson and Lester having been exiled and no obvious talent to cross over from Radio 1.

Update - it will be Sara Cox, and Trevor Nelson gets her late evening slot.

I would have preferred Sara in the morning, or even Trevor.
They are both better than Zoe

It looks like the R2 lineup is going to be just women and gender reassigned men. I look forward to Keani Bruce's Popmaster.

Thankfully I no longer listen to R2, Popmaster and Ken in general aside.
Zoe and Sara are bloody awful broadcasters who have very little love or knowledge of the music they play, their prime interest is in themselves.
