6M are posting their Dj's favourite albums and these are tracks from a a couple that I have had time to listen to
Nils Frahm - All Melody
I posted the live version because this guy is something special, even if to be honest this isn't one of his better ones. Bit more electronic sounding than his earlier stuff

Idles - Samaritan
new punk from a well respected new band

Erland Cooper -Whitemaa
Strange dark sounding thing, from a similar feeling album

and some other stuff

Anderson .Paak - Cheers feat. Q-Tip

Julia Jacklin - Body

Anna Calvi - As a Man
All well up to scratch.

Nils Frahm - All Melody:
Certainly interesting enough to check out his other stuff when I get time.

Idles - Samaritan:
Decent enough, although new punk is always going to be a hard sell to those like me that lived it first time around.

Erland Cooper -Whitemaa:
I like that best - slowly develops and intriguing.

Anderson .Paak - Cheers feat. Q-Tip:
Up my street and particularly like the jazziness towards the end. That said, I've always found Anderson.Paak slightly underwhelming. His stuff always sounds a bit unfinished.

Julia Jacklin - Body:
Not my thing and not for me to judge.

Anna Calvi - As a Man:
Well crafted but nothing special. Not keen on that pop-operatic vocal as a rule.

Enjoyed them all though.

New Chance The Rapper tunes out that I haven't caught up with.

Earl Sweatshirt has a new album out that has had some really good reviews, including from Miles. I like his stuff anyway so I'm looking forward to a listen - one time member of the excellent Odd Future collective that has featured at least three or four of my favourites including Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator and Syd (of The Internet).

By the way - still really enjoying that Kurt Vile posted a little while ago.

The new Chance - sort of a Christmas tune and, yup, I like it. Like most of his it takes a couple of listens to hit and the elf-voice chorus could be irritating but weirdly works. Nice message too - basically 'give love at Christmas'.

Mind you, I'm a fan so I always give him the benefit of the doubt:

Chance the Rapper - The Man Who Has Everything

Here's something from the new Earl Sweatshirt. That heavy quirky slow sound that's obviously based on smoking a shed-load of weed - another grower and gets hypnotic:
