Jeremy Vine
Sorry, I can't remember what the title of this thread was on the old board....
However, the daughter of a friend is playing a live session on his show today at 1.30. She busks in London and he's heard her, already played her song and has invited her along today.
Lucy May Walker, if you get the chance to listen.

I wouldn't miss him for the world.
Except for yesterday when he was banging on about the fine details of the budget, and had various shouty fools on

Re: Jeremy Vine
She did a session for BBC Introducing... three years ago, and played support for Gary Barlow, so she's not exactly the unknown busker that JV has spotted.Red Baron wrote: ↑Wed Oct 31, 2018 10:16 amSorry, I can't remember what the title of this thread was on the old board....

I wanted to like her, but the little girl voice is a bit wearing.

His morning TV show on C5 has carried on all the qualities of his radio gig.

I know what you mean about the girly voice, Ron, I'm quite fussy, especially about women's voices.
I admire her determination to give her music a go though.
Her grandmother had a fabulous voice, they are a very musical family.

On the JV show? Never!
Smarmy Buttmunch Appreciation Thread?
Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

Whether or not you agree with the WASPI campaign, what Vine said at the start of his programme is appalling.
She may have been a little ott but she's right on who is actually to blame.

Re: Jeremy Vine
This is the same Jeremy Vine that was shocked at that graph which showed the disparity between rich and poor in various countries with the UK having by far the biggest gap. I'm not at all surprised that he said something arsey.
