Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

How much was The Beatles and how much was George Martin?
I know a man who taught his dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground.
He went from Barking to Tooting in an hour.

Re: The older I get...
Very much mutual I think. The genius of The Beatles would never have come to fruition without the corresponding genius of George Martin. The Beatles would not have the impact they had without Martin's vision, and Martin could not have done it with any other band of the period. Think Dave Dee Dozey Beaky Mick and Tich. No not even The Stones...Julian Mince wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 7:28 amHow much was The Beatles and how much was George Martin?

It's a shame that his talents weren't passed down to his son Chris.Gaspode wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 8:41 pmVery much mutual I think. I didn't get The Beatles when I was young.
I thought "Nice tunes, but they are no Bay City Rollers".
It's only as I've aged that I've really appreciated them.
