I know a man who taught his dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground.
He went from Barking to Tooting in an hour.

A minor point, but don't you have to start something before you can stop doing it?
I once had a whim and I had to obey it
To buy a French Horn in a second-hand shop;
I polished it up and I started to play it
In spite of the neighbours who begged me to stop.

Next door play C*ldplay extra loud in their garden to drown out the hyper noise from another neighbours kids playing football or trampolining. It also has a remarkedly calming effect on the little buggers. So, not completely useless then.
