Gary Barlow can now add expert winemaker to his CV - the singer, tax-dodger and X Factor judge has launched his own range of organic Spanish wines, and they sound wonderful, unlike his recent records.
Gary has joined forces with Benchmark Drinks for his Gary Barlow Organic range, which includes both a red and a white wine.
The Gary Barlow Organic Red is described as being “a juicy, unoaked wine, displaying aromas of red wild berries with a touch of rosemary and chocolate. The medium body and beautiful balance between the good fruit concentration, fresh acidity and fine tannins, make it a highly versatile food wine to match tapas, pasta, KP Skips and a wide range of savoury and meat dishes.”
While the Gary Barlow Organic white is a “pale bright in colour, displaying aromas of lime and pear cut by a gentle note of anise. It shows a zesty, lingering lime palate. A refreshing wine, perfect to be drunk in summer with salads, doner kebabs, poultry and light seafood dishes.”
The Gary Barlow Organic range will be available exclusively in Morrisons stores from 9 October and from garybarlowwines.com, and each bottle will set you back £8, unless you buy it through your business & can illegally claim the VAT back in true GB fashion.
Mmmm - I'm getting... crushed grapes?
Could it be Merlot?

I'd rather drink piss.
I know a man who taught his dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground.
He went from Barking to Tooting in an hour.

Or Carling?
Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

I recall Simon Mayo reporting that he'd been hit on the head by a plastic bottle of warm lager at an open air gig once. No, that wasn't lager.
