Happy Birthday Lay Lay

Post by Gaspode » Mon Mar 01, 2021 10:42 pm

Alayah, youngest Granddaughter, is eight years old today. Where do the years go?

Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

Happy birthday sweetie.

The years are certainly catching up with granddad, can't see the photo.

I'll sort it later Phil. Right now I have all the symptoms of a cold thanks to the jab. Why does a cold affect us blokes more than women?

Well:
Men and women are like internal combustion engines you see.

However, men are like Formula One engines; high performance and powerful, but temperamental.

Women are like those old donkey engines you get in bilge pumps, and generators in Africa; low performance, but very reliable.

Now, think of a virus or cold as a handful of sand.

You chuck it into a Formula One engine, and it’ll stop.

If, however, you chuck it into a old donkey engine; the donkey engine will splutter a bit, but carry on working.

That’s why men and women react differently to a cold or flu.

Anyway; happy birthday wee lass.
I hope that grandad got you a nice present.
That's his job.

Oh, and a wimp, and 'not a real man'.

She is very cheeky indeed. As you all know she is severely disabled and has a torrid time health wise during her short life, but she has a very playful intelligence that belies all that. As someone wiser than me (no not Arpee this time) once said:

"When you judge someone based on a diagnosis you miss out on their abilities, beauty and uniqueness"

She is a very special young lady who I love very much.
