Or it could be a marketing ploy to drum up OUTRAGE11!!! at it being discontinued. It worked for Heinz (?) salad cream which as any fule kno looks and tastes like the devil's own snot. They said it was being ditched and a social media storm ensued with Save Our Devil's Own Snot campaigns and it was reinstated.

I once had a whim and I had to obey it
To buy a French Horn in a second-hand shop;
I polished it up and I started to play it
In spite of the neighbours who begged me to stop.

Yup. Ingredients are sweetened condensed milk, butter and sugar, coincidentally the same as in the Scots' Butter Tablet, but tasted nasty.
