It seems there are a few of us on here that drink it.
What ones are good or bad?

Needles - Aldi, about £20 50cl. Genuinely a really nice gin.

Beefeater 24, flavoured with tea apparently. Probably won't go back. Better than Gordons but not by much

Hendricks - THE finest gin known to man imo and is my favourite. I just don't drink it a lot as it's a little pricey but nice on special occasions even with the cucumber in it.

Currently have a bottle of Brecon Botanicals on the go, very nice it is too. Quite fragrant and all that, goes especially well with the Mediterranean tonic we thought we'd try rather than the normal or slimline. On sale at Tesco £19 for 70cl

Oliver Cromwell I think isn't it? I've had a bottle of that. Pound for pound one of the better ones out there.
I find myself using Gordons as my yard stick, it's not one of my favourites but if I have one out it's the one I usually end up drinking

I drink Co-op own brand gin, £17.50 per litre. Aldi's own London Gin is about £14.90.

Never mind the quality, feel the width.

We've enjoyed Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray down the years.

I guess I'd almost spend more on Fevertree tonic than the gin though.

Neat Dutch gin in Amsterdam is a great drink too.

I buy Fevertree tonic when I can, prefer the little cans, a perfect measure. As mentioned, bought Mediterranean tonic water this time to see the difference and, certainly with the Gin we have is much nicer than the normal "Indian" tonic.

I do like my Gin to taste of Gin, not fruit. OH likes her pink Gin.

Why anyone would want rhubarb in their gin is beyond me. A fruit best left in the 70s

Martin Miller is lovely, (you put strawberries and black pepper in) as is the Botanist.

Apparently Harris gin is to die for, but I've never got a bottle yet, I need to go to Harris to get one.

Always use Fevertree tonic now, though Fentiman's is good too.

I do like my Gin to taste of Gin, not fruit. OH likes her pink Gin.

I got a bottle of pink Gin, not sure what label, it's bloody horrible, far too sweet.

Hmm, gin....

My favourite is 'The One' brewed by the Lakes distillery. One of the few that doesn't need anything added to it to help it's flavour - apart from the obvious juniper, it has orange peel and lemon flavours.

I do like Tanqueray and Hendricks.

I have a Hadrians Wall gin at the moment, it has angelica, pimento, coriander, chamomile and garden mint in and is very pleasant.

I love Caorunn - but have struggled to find any for the past few months

I do like the rhubarb and ginger one I have as well - that's a Whitney Neale. I have a bottle of Lakes elderflower to try.

I use the Mediterranean Fevertree, I'm not so keen on the original.

I'm not as home so I can't check what else is in the cupboard...

Bombay Saphire seems a bit overpriced, there are not a lot of things in gin.

If I have to go for an expensive one it would be Plymouth but its usually Aldi here.

That doesn't look too bad, does it? There is, of course, the 6 Christmas tree gin baubles from The Lakes Distillery (2 original flavour, 2 damson & 2 sloe) which was a present from my sis as well as the Eden Mill Love gin that I bought for "presents" at Christmas time.

I haven't tried the Whitley Neill rhubarb & ginger one or the Eden Mill Double Treble Celtic special (!).

The Edinburgh Frankincense & Myrrh one will come back out in late November again and I'll deal with the Daffy's & Malfy's over the summer.

I don't seem to have any Bombay Sapphire, despite having the glasses for it.

It tastes like a lovely lemonade with some tonic in it. I'll try it with a slice of grapefruit in it this weekend.

Nope. Me neither.
I can drink white rum and vodka, but I've never got on with gin

It's a fairly new thing for me, last 4 or 5 years.
Not touched it since a night in my late teens when I nicked the bottle of Gordon's from my parents drinks cabinet and drank it with OJ.
I preferred sweeter drinks like Rum but my taste has changed as I have aged, I prefer bitter an G&T fits that bill perfectly.

Maybe that's why I like being on here

I still like a rum but too much coke on a session makes me wake up earlier than my hangover needs me to be

We've liked a G&T for a long time now so all the new 'flavours' are bit weird to me - I generally like gin-flavoured gin.

I got hammered on rum & coke as a teenager and the hangover was vile so haven't had that for decades. In fact I don't drink many soft drinks beyond tonic or apple/grape juice if I'm driving and I can't stand coke in any form and certainly nothing with aspartame, more for the aftertaste than health considerations.

The kids generally don't drink sugary drinks either - J2O when we're entertaining is the limit. Miles isn't a big drinker but vodka/gin and juice is probably his go to for 'pre's'.
