Do you like red wine?

Post by Phillip Phlopp » Sun Jun 28, 2020 9:38 am

I likes it but it has the same effect on me as chugging down a bottle of Night Nurse but Foxie and me mam enjoy a glass of red wine and I came across a Shiraz in t'Co-op called, 'Jam Shed'*, from Australia.

I think the wine buff would describe it as a smooth, full bodied red with jammy overtones and the females in Phlopp House think it's bloody lovely.

* Pronounced in Australian as 'Jim Shid'. I don't know what Aussies have against vowels but they strangle them at birth.

Great label as well, channeling Victorian graphics.

Blimey, that's a record for me, 36 views and no replies. I didn't even think we had 36 board members.

I like red wine, and may try this one if they have it in my Co-op, though I like a lighter wine.

My days of drinking red wine appear to be over. Took a break for a few months, had a glass one evening and was rewarded with a throbber the next day.
I know a man who taught his dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground.
He went from Barking to Tooting in an hour.

That's interesting.
I usually have to buy a pill for that.

I'm trying not to drink through the week.
Red wine is my downfall.
It also reacts with some of my heart pills which isn't nice.
I still bloody love it though.
Roll on Friday

I thought lard was good for the heart...
Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

A glass a night is good for the heart.
Two bottles a night, not so much.
