Britain's Got Talent just got personal...

...because my mate is on the show tomorrow.

Some will remember a while ago me doing a little bit of work for my mate who is a manager/producer of an R&B artist by the name of Kyle Lettman and some of you kindly voted for him on social media to get a support slot at a gig.

Anyway, they had turned down TV talent shows many times but it has proved very hard to break through in the music industry and Kyle's career has stalled, although he has had a strong social media presence and done a quite a few small shows.

As he says on his instagram 'Singing/Dancing isn’t my Talent, I’m average at both. But Hard Work is.. that’s my TALENT' (I think he's better than average, especially his dancing).

So...before he gets too old and to raise his profile he's on BGT on Saturday.

This was his biggest effort to get a hit and got a few plays on Radio 1Xtra:

Kyle Lettman ft Scorcher - Moving Too Fast

This is the tune that I had the most input on:

Hills and Oceans - Kyle Lettman

Enjoy - he's doing his Adele cover according to my mate.

If BGT was a talent show only I would watch it.
The false crap from the judges is what puts me off.
I may watch this episode though, to see your mate

Cheers, RP.

Speaking to his manager today it’s clear it’s all scripted and far more of an entertainment show than a talent competition.

I think we guessed that.

Is it “in real time” Max, or do you already know how he got on?

As an aside, the self-serve tills in Marks & Spencer’s have got the voices of the BGT judges on them at present, instead of the usual female voice. I only realised this after scanning a bottle of wine & Ant got a bit shaky.

I know how he got on but next round is the semis and that’s live.

No spoilers from me though, although the cute kid/s always get through.

I'm told that it's confirmed Kyle is on tonight.

BGT is one of my three secret vices although it does not require batteries. Or nurses uniforms.

Didn’t sing much and brought his dance crew but fine. As I said previously, probably a better dancer.

Thanks PP. I also know he can do better than that.

Dunno if this should be on the music thread but Kyle and his dance group KNE are in the live semis tonight so fingers crossed.

I suspect they're there just to make up the numbers based on the previous success of Diversity but, equally, they're just there for a bit of exposure. Still, you never know...

Were just OK and didn't deserve to go on.

Annoying because I would have had Kyle solo and singing but I guess it's given them national exposure which was obviously the plan.
