60 years worth of tunes.

Not too bad, an ok range of music. Ella Fitgerald to Taylor Swift.

We both said 'not impressed' when Taylor Swift was on. We haven't heard much of her music - and think her voice is quite weak. Maybe it's mellowed with time but I don't think we've missed much.

Rod was obviously in his Britt Ekland era, judging by his clothes, Van Morrison had hair... at least they didn't choose Chuck Berry's 'my ding a ling'

Ella gave me goosebumps, brilliant, and to follow her with Amy, excellent choice.
Me and Undi could have done without Queen mind.....

I watched two thirds of it, missed the second hour for the 1% Club.
I was expecting one song from each year, so was a bit disappointed with the bias on the last twenty five years, and Jools Holland in every other track.

I would have been about 10 when BBC2 started. I couldn't tell you what was the first televisual triumph I saw on this new channel but I tells you this... come closer and let me whisper it in your ears... back in them there prehistoric TV days the roofs on the council houses estate I was dragged up in had two aerials, one H shaped and one X shaped and they picked up either the BBC and <spit> commercial ITV channels. If, like us, had a strange pointy one that meant we had BBC2 as well. Pot Black in black and white was a marvel of the age.

And if you told kids of today that it took a couple of minutes for the TV to warm up and fill the room with the smell of burning dust AND you had to get up off the sofa to change channels they'd shake their heads in horror. Oh, and passing cars and motorbikes interfered with the sound.

Wasn't Yagi Array a mid-field player for Juventus?

Wasn't he something to do with The Beatles back in the day?
