Mind bleach please!!!!
Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

Watch it tonight
"New song" played.
Tbh it sounds like a song Noel wrote that wasn't good enough to get on an Oasis album.

To be fair, the release of the song has done what it had set out to do: promotion of the Beatles.

We watched the Beatles at the BBC programme and enjoyed it.

It was the first time we had seen the full video for the new song. Very clever - and definitely makes.the old saying ' the camera never lies' obsolete.

I have a very early memory of seeing the Beatles on TOTP singing Day Tripper, as shown in the Dr Who clip. I remember them singing it whilst supposedly in a train carriage - stage prop made from cardboard. If the full TOTP show was wiped I'll never know if my memory was right. 🙄

Have you seen the three part documentary of Get Back produced by Peter Jackson, where the Beatles were filmed recording Let It Be album ? It showed in detail how the tracks went from lyrics jotted down on scraps of paper and captured the fracturing group relationships.

WARNING: Yoko Ono sings a bit.

Thanks for the head's up, we watched it tonight and it put the Now And Then track into context. I missed the final seconds due to eye grit and a sudden blowing nose requirement.

As we were doing a Beatleathon we watched the making of Sgt Pepper with Howard Goodall that showed how the album was created and explained the musical construction (that hitherto was beyond my experience, I just loved the music) , it was way ahead of it's time.

The Howard Goodhall (great christian name) prog was excellent. He is very good with the music stuff btw. I think he wrote the Red Dwarf theme song, I may be wrong, I often am.....

Glad you enjoyed it PP! We'd recorded it and watched last night as well. Still have the Mersey Sound one that followed to watch. Remember watching the Fan Club concert at a friend's house and for many years had a sound recording of it on a reel to reel tape that my Dad had recorded for me. Sound wasn't good (Beeb's fault). Managed to get one from You Tube 'saved' it. As it was only a couple weeks after I'd seen them, it was very similar to the set they had done at the City Hall.

To be honest The Beatles plagiarised their music and personas from true pop legends, Dirk, Nasty, Stig and Barry
