In a shameless plagiarising of a spot on Johnny Walker's show how about a thread dedicated to re-recordings of well known songs?
Track 1. With a little help from my friends
Originally written and recorded by the Mop Haired Fab Four and sung by the fourth best drummer in the band.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you by Joe Cocker who gargles with rusty nut and bolts in the morning to give his delivery a unique edge. Apart from Laura Nyro, natch.

Now you see I love that version but I also love the original and the Isaac Hayes version. Sign of a great song I guess.

Mind you; most of what he wrote sounded better sung by others.

This is the best cover. I love it, a different class to Adele. Ferry does a lot of Dylan's stuff much better than Dylan.
There are some of Dylan's songs that only he can do though.
