Exiled's own Rockin' Motorway Drivin' album

Post by Phillip Phlopp » Tue Dec 06, 2022 11:35 am

I'm sure we're all already fed up with Slades, Wings, Cliff Richards etc's Christmas songs played ad nauseum on the radio.

The festive season is upon us and coupled with rail strikes it probably means motorway driving at some point so I'd like to propose our own non-Xmas rock based album that will have us drummin' the steering wheel, tappin' a spare foot, pointin' at the speaker to bring in the drummist and singin' along while annoyin' the passengers.

I propose to get us rockin' Track #1 Led Zep's Rock and Roll and for Track #2 Rod Stewart's Stay with me,

Track 1

Track 2

Your suggestions please.

Oooh! Nice choice Ron and along with track 2 the only one wouldn't skip after a brief listen.

Track 9

Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

Great choices folks, some tracks I hadn't heard before. Heart's Ann's voice is fantastic, what a range, like Laura Nyro but without the sore throat.

I have always pictured myself driving over the Golden Gate Bridge in a convertible with my arm leaning on the top of the door

(I have no idea why. I have no desire to go to San Fran, but there you go)
