First gig: I really can't remember, it being 50 years ago. It might have been Thin Lizzy. The venue would have been a Maidstone Art College Friday night rock bash in the early 70s where many of the bands starting out would later become famous in the years that followed.

Last gig: Rolling Stones at the original Wembley Stadium. Late 90s? We had seat high up at the back of the stand and the roof overhang cut the view of the stage. Sheryl Crow was the support act and she was brill.

Ah, I thought I remembered you from an earlier message board. Was it the R2 board?
We lived in Cardiff from 1974 to 2000, first in Splott then Fairwater and finally Radyr. I remember a hot summer's night laying in bed and in between the noise from the pub that was opposite our terraced house in Splott I could hear 10cc playing 'I'm not in love' a couple of miles away in Cardiff Castle.

First (I think) was Suzanne Vega at the Edinburgh Playhouse, touring her first album.
Either that or Jackson Browne ("Lives in the Balance") at the same venue or Nils Lofgren (touring "Flip") at the Usher Hall.

Last was Neil & Liam Finn (& the rest of the family) last month at the Queens Hall, Edinburgh.

I have been to gigs in cities other than Edinburgh though - next up is the Ryan Adams in Glasgow in April.

Nils is always great live - Gassy and me were (independently) big fans of the 'Cry Tough' album/tour a few years earlier.
