Glastonbury
Paul McCartney was fab last night. Diana Ross, not so much.
Re: Glastonbury
Glastonbury, this weekend? Why am I always the last to know. I mean there's been no mention of it on the Beeb.
Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.
Re: Glastonbury
I enjoyed what I saw of McCartney - need to catch up when it eventually gets onto IPlayer.

Re: Glastonbury
Diana Ross was a) bloody awful and b) "here are three tracks from my new album". WTAF? It was the Legends Slot, she wasn't there to plug her new album.

Waiting to see the McCartney show. A chum has told me that there was a bass player in the wings covering for him.

If that's true, he should've have a vocalist doing the same.Julian Mince wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 4:55 amWaiting to see the McCartney show. A chum has told me that there was a bass player in the wings covering for him.
Mind you, at 80 years old, he's doing pretty well staying this side of the turf.

There seemed to have been a problem with his microphone at the front of the stage, when he was a-tinkling the ivories and using a different mic he was OK.

The song "I've gotta feeling" with the video of Lennon cut in was brilliant.
I was very impressed.

It was the counter culture , the counter culture doesn't exist any more. I feel sorry for the youth of today with their sanitised, homogenised, safe, non threatening weed smoking, youth culture.
