Good grief. I can still remember telling a mate about it and him going "who?".
I know a man who taught his dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground.
He went from Barking to Tooting in an hour.

I remember it so well.
The alarm came on, DLT was on the breakfast show, and I thought he sounded really flat. Then the news came on,
Such a pointless death.

I have to admit I was the same as your friend when I heard my Mum telling my older brother.Julian Mince wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 8:31 amGood grief. I can still remember telling a mate about it and him going "who?".

When it was his birthday a month or so ago I read an interesting article about his shooting, I just assumed he was shot & died straight away but apparently he didn't. If this article is correct he staggered into a room/office within the building & he was put into the back of a police car to be taken to the hospital, I can't remember where I read it.

I heard it on the same programme RB. Must have been on day off as I remember being in the hairdresser later that morning and of course the radio was on.
