Not bad at all Indie, then again almost anything Clem Burke plays on is just that. The best rock drummer?

I'm currently reading Face It, by Debby Harry. Best autobiography I've read in years. Well worth a read

This is just what I like in a cover version, an interpretation not a karaoke song.

There's an English ceilidh band, Tickled Pink, who recorded a pretty good and heavy version of The Model, on their album Terpsichore - alas not on youtube.
John Lennon's Imagine has never been a favourite of mine, lyrically or musically, although Joan Baez's recording is sublime.
It has been part of Carlos Santana's live set for some years - he and wife Cindy Blackman take it to the cleaners with good effect. They've just put it on record, on a charity compilation, for SongAid

Bob Harris played Molly Tuttle's cover of the Stones' She's A Rainbow, which was nice.
Here, she dusts off and picks over a 25-year old album track by Californian punk-rockers Rancid

Milk'n'Blues feat. Ze Rodrigo - Mercy
I can't be arsed to check the thread, but has this been posted yet?
PS I would usually run a mile from anything with "feat" anywhere near it.

Lovely sultry smoky Jazz version by one of my fave female singists, not as good as the Jose Feliciano version I admit but I like it muchly..

Made it their own, this song was meant to be a soul song, and no way do a bunch of hairy Australians have any right to sound so raw and soulful as this..
