While not wanting to turn this into Song Theme Game 2, this follows the theme with a nice slice of doo-wop soul from the San Francisco TKO's:

been listening to quite a bit of 6music while out on the road recently and discovering new stuff.
This song came on and I thought it was new, turns out it is ten years old. I really like it and at some point I will be deliving more into is catalogue

I can appreciate the Jackie Leven and I can understand why he's so highly regarded but not really for me.

I love Fairport Convention (Liege & Lief being one of my first ever albums) but have always found Sandy Denny's solo output a bit dull.

Of course the exception is 'Who knows where the time goes?' which is fantastic. The problem is that it's the only solo song of hers that anyone ever posts because the rest just aren't half as good.

From the sublime to...Petula Clark. Loved this when it shuffled my way - weird combination of totally English pop and aching soul but it's great:

Petula Clark ' Every Little Bit Hurts' 1965

I prefer this version to the Motown versions by Brenda Holloway (original) and Gladys Knight so that's high praise indeed. See also versions by The Spencer Davis Group (good) and The Clash (not so good).

All good tunes and the Eek A Mouse a nice surprise since (understandably) it's usually the fantastic 'Wa-Do-Dem' that gets posted - like the comment that those disliking it were jamaicans who thought it was 'dis i like'

I do love an instrumental, especially with a great bassline, a great intro, and a touch of quality super-funky disco from the Philly house band:

That's lovely!

Put me in a touch of a melancholy mood. There isn't anything much more melancholy than an Ira and Charlie song of lost love:
