Little Gems
Re: Little Gems
Odd thing, ain't it... you meet people one at a time, they seem decent, they got brains that work, and then they get together and you hear the voice of the people. And it snarls.

I know a man who taught his dog to play the trumpet on the London Underground.
He went from Barking to Tooting in an hour.

I adore her voice, and spookily I ordered the LP from Amazon yesterday. Great minds and all that...

Bit of an about face but I love this.
An Australian band, this record was released in the UK a month before what is thought of as the first UK punk single, New Rose by The Damned.
Loved by UK punks till they saw the band, then for a lot it was crap. I never bothered with that shit, loved it then, love it now..
Sometimes I miss Max, just sometimes mind...

Also from the same Later show. The performance got me interested in Amy. This was when Later showcased some great new artists.

The voice was the same but she was a sad sight to see later on.
Re: Little Gems
Those first two Roxy albums were wonderful, right out of left field, totally original, full of energy and years ahead of their time. Shame blandness soon followed after Eno's departure.
This could be from one of those early electro new romantics type bands from 1979/80.

I agree AND Ferry's style suits the group,it's horrible when he's on his own.

Brian Eno made a question on The Chase last night. "Who has the middle names Peter George St John le Baptiste de la Salle". Sir! Sir! I know! I know!
