thanks guys, I feel suitably old and knackered today.
However. New pants, beard trimmer and trainers made me feel much better as I was woken up by girls fighting over who would open my cards

Re: The Brits 2019
I have heard of 1975, my dj partner's 15 year old son is very into them at the moment. Middle aged men saying they haven't heard of an act says more about us than it does the bands. These acts have all (well mostly ) had number 1's and are quite successful. I'd forgotten that they even existed until...

Re: Gin
Currently have a bottle of Brecon Botanicals on the go, very nice it is too. Quite fragrant and all that, goes especially well with the Mediterranean tonic we thought we'd try rather than the normal or slimline. On sale at Tesco £19 for 70cl Oh dear, none of this left. We both struggled yesterday a...

Re: Gin
I don't mind coke, but it has to be Coke coke and full fat, diet Lemonade is the only diet drink I can't taste the pretend sugar. Actually the Irn Bru isn't bad but I don't use it as a mixer.
If on rum and if available I will buy the caffeine free coke but it's not great, just doesn't wake me up.

I have been to gigs in cities other than Edinburgh though - next up is the Ryan Adams in Glasgow in April. #HimToo? Ryan Adams: multiple women accuse singer of emotional abuse, report says. Seven women allege musician ‘dangled career opportunities’ while sexually pursuing female artists, New York T...
Re: HMV
The real shame, it used to have a great store on the main sq in town. I have had lots of friends work there from leaving school and it was probably the main shop of any kind in that square but they moved into the shopping precinct and a vacant Zavvi/virgin store and it became a Nandos. I've only bee...

Re: Gin
It's a fairly new thing for me, last 4 or 5 years. Not touched it since a night in my late teens when I nicked the bottle of Gordon's from my parents drinks cabinet and drank it with OJ. I preferred sweeter drinks like Rum but my taste has changed as I have aged, I prefer bitter an G&T fits that bil...

Re: Gin
I buy Fevertree tonic when I can, prefer the little cans, a perfect measure. As mentioned, bought Mediterranean tonic water this time to see the difference and, certainly with the Gin we have is much nicer than the normal "Indian" tonic. I do like my Gin to taste of Gin, not fruit. OH likes her pink...

Re: Gin
I like, as a plain gin, the Aldi normal gin, as nice, if not nicer, than Gordons. Oliver Cromwell I think isn't it? I've had a bottle of that. Pound for pound one of the better ones out there. I find myself using Gordons as my yard stick, it's not one of my favourites but if I have one out it's the...

Not so keen on that piano but after delving further, really like the Beat Girl track. Almost the Bond theme but not quitePsmith wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 11:17 pmJohn Barry

Gin
It seems there are a few of us on here that drink it. What ones are good or bad? Needles - Aldi, about £20 50cl. Genuinely a really nice gin. Beefeater 24, flavoured with tea apparently. Probably won't go back. Better than Gordons but not by much Hendricks - THE finest gin known to man imo and is my...

A little bored this afternoon, gone and brought tickets for the Friday 24th http://www.brooklynvegan.com/files/2019/01/all-points-east-festival-2019.jpg?w=630&h=787&zc=1&s=0&a=t&q=89 Three of my favourite bands, one i've seen loads of times, another a few and the headline I have never seen. Besides ...
