Re: Eurovision
Wait until you watch it. It ticks all the Eurovision boxes. It reminds me of Defying Gravity if you have ever been to Wicked. Portugal have gone home. https://eurovision.tv/image/8da55ba2-965c-4fcf-ae10-fc1d8c8b5137.jpg?p=gallery-19:10 Russia are in the second semi, I wonder if Europe will vote them...

Eurovision
It all starts tonight with the first semi-final.
What the heck is Portugal doing?
Australia get my vote so far, I think it would be even better watching it there. It was a lovely thing.

Protein from insects will in the future be the norm according to a food scientist I heard on the TV. I was only half-listening but they took the insect grubs, dried and ground them and made a bread out of the 'flour'. The interviewer tried the bread and said it, er, tasted like bread. The best thin...

Re: Ale
I'll have to find a pub in London that sells Hawkshead - I think there are a couple that I could get to in due course. I quite like Jennings which I think is Cumbrian but I also think it was taken over by one of the big brewers a while ago. I like to try the different beers but, with the explosion ...

It should really be 'T&G' as you put the bigger ingredient first, unless I'm missing something. I think Billy Joel got it right unlike his marriage choice.

If I have to go for an expensive one it w...

Will they reinstall those wooden cabinets (like a small enclosed telephone box) where you could stand and listen to the LP you wanted to buy? To get the authentic experience they'd have to ensure the worn-out earphones were a bit greasy and the cabinet smelt of cigarettes and wee (and something els...

I'm not sure if the DJ gets to pick the songs but the guy, standing in for Johnnie, put up a great playlist. Little Feat and Linda Ronstadt! (they have collaborated in the past).

Re: Legendary Rock Acts You Think Are OK ,But
I've mentioned Queen before - I liked them before they became the Freddie Show, not much after A Night At The Opera. Cream I mostly like but not Clapton solo. Oasis are OK but I prefer Slade. The Stone Roses are OK but overrated. I appreciate The Smiths but have no desire to listen to them. Nirvana...
